The Govt. Higher Secondary School, Telam was established in the year 1967 as Lower Primary School. It was upgraded gradually to UPS in 1975, to Secondary School in 1988 and to Higher Secondary School in 1992. The school is located at Telam one of the oldest villages of the foothills of Nari Sub-Division bordering Assam. There are 28 (twenty eight) teaching and non-teaching staff serving in the school. An efficient and highly qualified and trained teachers available for all subjects taught in the school. There are around 200 (Two hundred) students enrolled in the school. The students are sincere, obedient and dedicated towards their studies. Both Science, Commerce and Arts streams are taught in the school.
