How do I add my picture to my editor profile?

Adding a picture to your editor profile is easy. Navigate to the "Settings" section at the top of the page. You'll find the option to upload an image near the top of your various settings. Please make sure to upload in a standard format (e.g., .jpg or .png). Save your changes, and your profile will update immediately. For best results, use a square image with good resolution.

What does having the "Private profile" privacy box checked do?

Checking this box ensures that only you and your approved friends can view your profile. This includes details like your editor bio, activity, and comments. Use this setting to maintain privacy while still engaging with selected connections.

What does having the "Comment replies" notification box checked do?

Enabling this setting allows you to receive an email whenever someone replies to one of your comments. This keeps you informed and encourages ongoing discussions.

What does having the "Profile comments" notification box checked do?

If this option is enabled, you'll receive an email notification whenever someone leaves a comment on your profile. This helps you stay updated on interactions and respond promptly if needed.

I joined but did not receive the email to confirm my account. What should I do?

If you didn't receive the confirmation email, first check your spam or bulk mail folder. To ensure future emails aren't missed, add support@viesearch.com to your email safe-list. If you still can't find the message, click the "Resend" link on the sign-in page to have the confirmation email sent again. If the issue persists, consider reaching out to our support team for further assistance. This will ensure your account is verified and ready to use.

Do I need to register an account to add my website?

No, you can submit your website for inclusion without registering or logging in. However, registering has added benefits. By creating an account later and using the same email address as your submission, you can claim ownership of your website. This gives you access to tools for managing your listing, tracking interactions, and making updates. Registering is highly recommended for those planning to manage multiple websites or stay active within the Viesearch community.

I have an account, but my website is not showing up to make changes. What should I do?

This may happen if your website listing is not yet associated with your account. Automatically claim your listings by verifying your email address. If you recently changed your email address, your listings will also update to reflect the new email and claim any websites associated with it. If the issue persists, ensure you are logged in with the correct email address or contact support for assistance.

What does having the "Viesearch updates" notification box checked do?

This setting ensures you receive an email when Viesearch updates its change log. These updates may include new features, policy changes, or improvements, keeping you informed about the latest developments.

I would like to remove my editor account, website information, or email address. How do I remove it?

We make removal simple and user-friendly. Every email from Viesearch contains an unsubscribe or removal link at the bottom for instant opt-out. Alternatively, log into your account, navigate to "Settings," and click "Remove your account" at the bottom of the page. This action permanently deletes your information, including associated website data.

What does having the "Require approval for new friends" privacy box checked do?

When this box is checked, new friend requests will need your approval before being added to your friends list. This gives you more control over who can connect with you. Notifications for pending requests can be managed in your email or directly in your account settings.

What does having the "Friend request" notification box checked do?

When this box is checked, you'll get an email notification each time someone sends you a friend request or accepts a request you've sent. It's a great way to stay on top of new connections.

What does having the "Website activity" notification box checked do?

With this box checked, you'll be notified via email when someone interacts with a website you manage. Interactions include likes, ratings, tags, or comments, ensuring you can monitor and engage with activity on your listings.

Each search results page shows up to 10 featured sites per category. If more than 10 featured listings exist, the 11th site will appear at the top of page 2, followed by the rest in order. Listings are displayed with the newest featured sites shown first, ensuring fair visibility across all pages.
The "Recent Searches" section on the homepage is filtered to maintain quality and prevent misuse. For example, adult content and URL-based searches are excluded from the visible list. However, these searches still count toward the total number of searches performed. This filtering helps maintain a cleaner, user-friendly display while ensuring the accuracy of overall statistics.

I replied to a Viesearch email but did not receive any response. Why?

To manage the overwhelming volume of spam, Viesearch does not monitor incoming email replies. To ensure your message reaches us, please use our on-site contact form instead. Submitting your inquiry through the contact form guarantees it will be seen by our support team. We respond to all support tickets in a timely manner, ensuring your questions or concerns are addressed promptly.

How do I edit my website information?

As the website owner, you can edit your listing details by signing in to your Viesearch account. Once logged in, navigate to your editor profile or the "More Details" page of your website. Look for the "Edit" link at the top of the page. Click it to update your information, such as your website description, category, or other relevant details. Save your changes, and they will be applied to your listing promptly.

How do I change my URL?

For security reasons, Viesearch does not allow website URLs to be directly changed. If your website address has changed, the best solution is to delete the outdated URL from your account and submit a new listing with the updated URL. This policy helps maintain the accuracy and security of our listings while ensuring outdated links do not compromise user experience.
If a keyword tag on your website is irrelevant, you can easily remove it by signing into your account. Once logged in, visit the "Tags" section for your website and delete any unrelated or inappropriate tags. Alternatively, the user who added the tag also has the option to remove it. This feature ensures that your website remains accurately categorized and searchable.

How can I update my website preview/thumbnail image?

Preview images for approved websites are automatically refreshed about once a month. If you need the image updated sooner, visit your website's details page and click the "Refresh Pic" button below the current preview. This request can be made once a week for approved sites, and the thumbnail will be updated promptly to reflect your website's latest look.
The cost of upgrading your website to a featured listing depends on current market demand and the duration you want it featured. To see the most up-to-date pricing, sign in to your account, click "Upgrade" on your listing, and review the payment form. Featured listings help increase your visibility by appearing prominently in search results.

I verified my website, but you're asking me to verify it again. Why?

To keep our search results fresh and relevant, Viesearch performs regular checks to ensure that listed websites remain online and active. We also ask website owners to verify their submissions once a year as part of our commitment to accuracy. This process helps maintain a high-quality search engine and ensures that outdated or inactive websites are removed.
