The Govt. Higher Secondary School, Telam was established in 1967. It was upgraded over the years to UPS in 1975, Secondary School in 1988, and Higher Secondary School in 1992. The school is located in Telam, a village in the foothills of the Nari Sub-Division bordering Assam.
