@lsclinic editor
Dr. Allan Kok is the Medical Director of LS Aesthetic Clinic. He obtained his medical degree from National University of Singapore in 1984. Dr. Koks interest in dermatology led him to be the first Singaporean doctor to successfully pursue a Diploma in Practical Dermatology at University of Wales in Cardiff, under the tutelage of acclaimed dermatologist Professor Ronald Marks. Dr Kok is also a fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery. Dr. Kok understands the emotional distress that skin conditions can cause and has a strong interest in helping his patients achieve more confident versions of themselves. He is a strong advocate of minimally invasive aesthetic treatments, such as laser treatments, anti-wrinkle injections, or fillers, that are effective in reversing signs of aging, reducing skin blemishes, and restoring a more youthful appearance. As someone who believes in continual self-improvement, Dr. Kok continually attends various aesthetic courses and conferences worldwide to further improve his skills. He also organised the first diploma course in Aesthetic Medicine in 2003 together with the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM). With its success, he continued to organise subsequent diplomas in partnership with AAAM. Dr. Kok also believes strongly in giving back to society. From 2004 2014, he served as a Director of the Geylang & Toa Payoh Elderly Centre, advising on the operations of the centre and the care of the elderly. During his free time, he volunteers at Chee Hwan Kog Temple, where he offers medical advice and care to the underprivileged.
