Frigidaire 5303918638 Refrigerator Defrost Thermostat

The Frigidaire 5303918638 Refrigerator Defrost Thermostat monitors temperature and controls the defrost cycle to reduce frost buildup around the evaporator. This temperature-sensing component detects changes near the evaporator and switches the defrost circuit according to preset temperature levels. Proper temperature sensing supports timely defrost cycles while preventing unnecessary heating. A faulty thermostat may cause excessive frost, reduced cooling, or defrost system issues.
