Copper mesh is flexible, malleable, and has high thermal and electrical conductivity. These characteristics make it widely used for RFI shielding, Faraday cages, HVAC, and numerous electrical applications. Copper wire mesh bends easily, but still retains its strength. Copper mesh is yellowish red when first woven and will gradually patina (discolor) to a green/blue color called bronze.
