Income tax audit is a formal examination of a company's or an individual's financial records in relation to earnings and deductions. Section 44AB of the Income Tax Act provides a provision for performing a TAX AUDIT to confirm compliance with various provisions of the Income-tax Law as well as the fulfilment of other Income-tax Law requirements.
