The chromium content of the UNS N08825 bulkhead fitting allows it to withstand certain oxidizing conditions, particularly in environments containing nitric acid salts, oxidizing salts, and nitrates. The 825 Incoloy Tube to Union material is stabilized with titanium so that it can withstand pitting and intergranular attack after the manufacturing process.
