The group, which continued its activities under the name of Marmaris Photography and Natural Friends Group between 1997-2008, entered the association process in 2008 and completed its establishment as Marmaris Photography Friends Association in April 2008,
In 2012, Turkey has been a member of the Federation of Photography.
