archiTRONIC was founded by Ravi Jhupsee in 1994, on the brink of the beginning of a new democracy in South Africa. The practice aims to design and create appropriate built responses to the economic, social, climatic and political contexts unique to Southern Africa, through research, design principles and technical excellence. archiTRONIC is solely owned, managed and staffed by Previously Disadvantaged Individuals [PDIs].
