"Carbohydrazide (CH6N4O) is used as boiler oxygen scavenger to prevent oxidative corrosion in boiler feed system. It is used as an intermediate for organic synthesis. Carbohydrazide has versatile functions including use in rocket propellants, color images, soap stabilizers, antioxidants rubber, boiler water deoxidants and metal passivation agents. It is a white crystalline solid with a melting point of 153-154°C that decomposes upon melting.
