What does a static mixer do?
A static mixer has no moving parts and is made up of a casing (pipe) and mixing components or tabs. The product is mixed by the flow through the mixer. Static mixers can be used to mix liquids, disperse gases into liquids, or both. Because the mixing device impedes the flow and a powder or solid could accumulate on it and clog the mixer, static mixers should not be used to mix powders or solids into liquids.
