Onam Sadhya (Malayalam: ഓണംസദ്യ ) is a traditional Kerala meal that is important to all Malayalis. On the day of Onam, everyone prepares this non-vegetarian delicious meal. It consists of a variety of traditional vegetarian foods served on a banana leaf. Sadhya is the Malayalam word for a banquet. It might have anything from 24 to 28 items served as a single course. People sit cross-legged on mats during this traditional ceremony.
