Some people, based on their height, will need to use extra long yoga mats. I use the standard size; however, I have also picked up some extra long yoga mats from Sol Living for some of my family members. Ideally, it all depends upon your comfort level and preference. If you are comfortable with the standard size, then you can go ahead with it.
