A smart antenna can transmit and/or receive multiple radio frequency (RF) waves, which assists it to increase the speed and accuracy of data transmission. This occurs by use of diversity effect of transmitter and receiver. Smart antennas are applicable in several communication systems such as Internet connections, wireless communications used for long distances, and RADAR communications.
