I have an account but my website is not showing up to make changes?
Automatically claim listings when you verify your email address. Changing your email address also updates your websites and claims any websites associated with your new email address.

How do I add my picture to my editor profile?
Click "Settings" at the top of the page and enter the URL of your picture in the Picture URL box.

What does having the "Require approval for new friends" privacy box checked do?
If this is checked, you must approve new friends before they are added to your friends list.

What does having the "Private profile" privacy box checked do?
Only you and your friends will be able to see your profile.

What does having the "Enable personal search history" privacy box checked do?
View searches you've made in the past 30 days in your own personal search cloud! You may delete your history at any time.

I would like to remove my editor account, website information, or email address. How do I remove it?
We keep the removal process simple and easy. Each message sent by Viesearch contains an instant unsubscribe/removal link at the bottom. Additionally, you may sign in to your account and click the "Remove your account" link found at the bottom of your settings page. All your information will be permanently deleted.

What does having the "Profile comments" notification box checked do?
You will receive an email when someone comments on your profile.

What does having the "Website activity" notification box checked do?
You will receive an email when someone likes, rates, tags, or comments on a website you manage.

What does having the "Comment replies" notification box checked do?
You will receive an email when someone replies to one of your comments.

What does having the "Friend request" notification box checked do?
You will receive an email when someone wants to add you as a friend or accepts your friend request.

What does having the "Viesearch updates" notification box checked do?
You will receive an email when we update our change log.

General

The green totals next to the categories on your homepage look large. How is this possible?
The total next to the category title represents all websites within that category, all websites within the subcategories, and all websites tagged with related terms. Not all websites are actually in the folder, but tagged and available via search results.

How does the total searches number increase without the homepage showing new "Recent Searches"?
To prevent abuse we filter the "Recent Searches" list so it hides adult and URL searches. This does not affect your search results or availability of websites.

Registration

Do I need to register an account to add my website?
No! You may submit your website for inclusion without logging in. If you choose to register later simply use the same email address to claim your site!

I joined but did not receive the email to confirm my account?
Please click the resend link found on the sign in page. Add support@viesearch.com to your safe-list to prevent the message from going to a bulk folder.

Websites

How do I edit my website information?
As the owner of a website you can edit the information by signing in and clicking the edit link found at the top of the more details page or directly on your editor profile.

Someone tagged my website with a keyword that is not related. How can I remove it?
As the owner/editor of a website you can remove any of its tags by signing in. The person that added the tag can also remove it.

How do I change my URL?
For security reasons we do not allow website URLs to be changed. If your website address has changed please delete your old URL and submit the new one.

I verified my website and it has been listed for some time and you are asking me to verify it again?
To make sure our search results stay fresh and relevant we check to make sure your website is online every couple weeks and we also ask that you verify your submission once a year.

How can I update my website preview/thumbnail image?
We automatically update your preview picture randomly about once a month. If you would like yours updated sooner please browse to your website and click the Refresh Pic button located under the current preview picture. We will update your preview picture as soon as possible. (This option is for approved sites and is available once a week)
