Maharashtra is a rich historical state. The Marathas and the Mughals had much land and built some beautiful buildings and forts. Telling many tales of Marathas, the fort in Maharashtra is an integral part of the tourist attraction in the state. Although most are now in ruins, the forts in Maharashtra are over 350 and are a symbol of prosperity and history.

This fort is also known as Vitangad is a hill fort in Maval near Pune in Maharashtra. The fort is of pyramid shape and the name is also given as per it as Tikona means "Triangular" Tikona.
