Rotary screw compressors

Refresh Pic
Rotary screw compressors use two intermeshing helical screws, or rotors, to compress air. The rotors rotate in opposite directions and trap air in pockets between the rotors and the compressor housing. As the rotors rotate, the pockets of air are gradually reduced in volume, increasing the air pressure. This compressed air is then sent to a storage tank or used to power air tools and other equipment.
