The "Goldene Wachau" is situated in Aggsbach, at the beginning of the Wachau between Melk and Spitz an der Donau on the left side of the Danube. The Wachau is an Austrian valley with picturesque landscape formed by the Danube and is one of the most prominent tourist destinations of Lower Austria. It was inscribed as "Wachau Cultural Landscape" in the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites in recognition of its architectural and agricultural history.
