The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are a union territory of India that is located in the Bay of Bengal. Port Blair is the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It consists of about 527 islands, both tiny and huge. The coast of these islands extends for about 100 km. The islands are covered with dense forests everywhere. The area of the islands is approximately 8,293 square kilometers. The islands consist of two groups, the Andaman and Nicobar.
