In some good news for trekkers, Gangotri National Park (GNP) authorities have decided to reopen the park and start the season's trekking and mountaineering activities from April 25. The decision has been taken on the basis of a report submitted by a joint team of trekking agencies and forest department, who surveyed the trek route on April 22.
