The mission of Water Guardians: Levi's Legacy is to inform people that drowning occurs in non swimming situation. Since death from drowning can happen in seconds, it is vital to have a tangible reminder of who is designated "water-guardian," even when children are not swimming. Water Guardian tags provide supervision to prevent drowning. It is in honor of Levi Hughes, who drowned in 2018.
