AC HONED TUBE was founded in 1978 by Andre Calitz and was first known as Hydrofit Engineering. At that time we specialised in the design and manufacture of specialised hydraulic equipment. We found there was a shortage of honed cylinder tubing and chrome shafting, so we investigated the possibility of manufacturing these products locally. We are now one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of honed and unhoned tubing and chrome shafting in Africa.
